ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for a Forward Deployed Software Engineer who thrives at the intersection of cutting-edge AI technology and real-world enterprise software challenges. You'll embed directly with our customer's engineering team, helping them revolutionize their software development with Blitzy.

This isn't a typical solutions engineer role. You'll write production code, architect solutions, and work shoulder-to-shoulder with customer engineering teams to deliver transformative outcomes. You're equally comfortable debugging a complex integration, participating in sprint planning, or whiteboarding architecture with a CTO.

Work Arrangement: This role requires being on-site with the customer 2 days per week.and at Blitzy headquarters (1 Kendall Square, Cambridge). This structure ensures deep customer partnership while maintaining connection to our core engineering team.

Location: 1 Kendall Square, Cambridge, MA (Hybrid: 3 days/week on-site with customer, 2 days/week at 1 Kendall Square, Cambridge)

Travel: Minimal - role is based in Greater Boston area

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Deploy Blitzy into complex enterprise environments, navigating technical constraints and working directly with customer engineering teams to deliver immediate value

- Embed with customer teams during critical implementations, serving as a technical co-pilot across sprint planning, architecture reviews, and technical decision-making

- Translate ambitious business and executive goals into concrete technical implementations, building custom integrations, extensions, and solutions using Blitzy's AI capabilities

- Write production-quality code that integrates Blitzy with existing enterprise systems, while developing reusable patterns, scripts, and tools that accelerate customer adoption

- Debug complex issues spanning customer infrastructure and the Blitzy platform, and create technical demos that showcase advanced use cases and demonstrate customer value

- Drive successful POCs that expand into enterprise-wide deployments, while identifying expansion opportunities based on technical insights and customer needs

- Become a trusted technical advisor to engineering leaders, earning their confidence through hands-on expertise and the ability to translate technical possibilities into business outcomes

- Decompose executive vision into actionable engineering roadmaps and identify recurring customer patterns that influence product priorities and roadmap decisions

- Collaborate with our product and engineering teams to turn field experience into platform improvements, technical documentation, reusable best practices, and contributions to the core Blitzy platform

QUALIFICATION

- 4+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of shipping production code

- Fluency in multiple programming languages, including Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, Go, or C#

- Strong understanding of modern software development practices, including CI/CD, microservices, cloud architecture, and Agile/Scrum

- Experience with enterprise software development lifecycles, Jira, legacy system modernization, and large-scale migrations

- Proven ability to navigate complex technical environments and build strong relationships with technical and business stakeholders

- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to audiences ranging from interns to CTOs

- Experience in customer-facing engineering, high-growth startups, AI/ML, developer tools, or enterprise modernization is a plus

- Track record of technical thought leadership through blogs, talks, or open-source contributions is a plus

- Passion for the future of AI-powered software development

- Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Greater Boston area for this hybrid role
