What is JobSnout?
A personal job radar for engineering roles in Europe. It fetches openings straight from companies' own hiring systems every day, filters them to what you care about, and links you to the original posting. One page, no accounts, no ads.
How is this different from Indeed, LinkedIn, or any other job board?
Job boards are paid by employers, and it shows: stale listings kept alive, recruiter duplicates, and postings that exist to harvest CVs. JobSnout has exactly one customer — the person searching. It takes no money from employers, accepts no submitted listings, and has no reason to show you a job that isn't real, current, and applicable.
Why do jobs disappear from the list?
Because they closed. Every company is re-checked every few hours; a vacancy that stops appearing on the employer's own system for three consecutive checks is marked closed and removed. Boards leave zombie listings up for months — JobSnout treats a dead job as information, not inventory.
Why don't I see jobs in the US, India, or 'remote worldwide — US timezones'?
By design. JobSnout only collects roles workable from Europe. Anything identifiably outside Europe is rejected before it ever reaches the database. A posting that lists several countries stays if at least one is European; a posting with no location at all stays too, because unknown is not the same as non-European.
Why do most jobs show no salary?
Because most employers don't publish one, and JobSnout never invents data. A salary appears only when the employer stated it — either as structured data in their hiring system or as an explicit range in the posting — and it's shown exactly as published, annualized where the employer gave monthly figures.
