The role
You'll build fast, accessible, multi-country web experiences for a high-traffic consumer product, working across a microfrontend architecture with product, design, SEO and backend engineers. Expect real ownership: from design system components to Core Web Vitals, you'll ship it, measure it and make it better.
What you'll do
- Build responsive, mobile-first interfaces with React, TypeScript and Next.js across server-side and client-side rendering.
- Develop reusable design system components that support multi-country setups, internationalisation and right-to-left Arabic layouts.
- Optimise web performance and Core Web Vitals: bundle size, hydration, rendering, image and font loading, and caching.
- Maintain application contracts and shared libraries across a microfrontend architecture.
- Implement analytics, feature flags, and unit, component and end-to-end tests with Playwright and Storybook.
- Use production signals, real-user monitoring and error tracking to resolve performance and user-facing issues.
- Collaborate with product, design, SEO and backend teams, and give thoughtful code reviews.
What you'll bring
- 3+ years of professional frontend experience building and operating production web apps.
- Strong React and TypeScript skills, plus modern state management and data-fetching patterns.
- Hands-on Next.js experience: SSR/SSG, routing, and server vs. client execution.
- Solid semantic HTML, CSS Modules or responsive layout systems, and web accessibility.
- Practical API integration plus unit, component and E2E testing (Playwright preferred).
- A proven grasp of Core Web Vitals, performance measurement and debugging.
Nice to have
- Microfrontends, monorepos or shared npm packages.
- i18n, RTL layouts and SEO-driven products.
- Frontend observability, tag management, feature flagging, or maps/geospatial APIs.
