Lopaka | Embedded UI / Graphics Engineer | REMOTE | Contract | Part-time | $80–140/hr | https://lopaka.app/careers Lopaka is a browser-based UI editor and C/C++ code generator for embedded displays (OLED, TFT, e-paper). Around 20,000 hardware developers use it to design interfaces for ESP32, STM32, AVR, Arduino and other platforms. We're building DevPet, a small animated desktop companion for developers (think Tamagotchi meets build monitor). We're looking for an experienced embedded UI engineer to help design the UI architecture and build a polished animated interface that runs within tight memory and performance constraints. You'll work on: Embedded UI architecture
Character animations and state transitions
Sprite, bitmap and font pipelines
Rendering optimization (dirty rectangles, partial redraws, partial refresh)
Display and hardware trade-offs
Integrating Git activity, build status and notifications into the UI We're looking for someone with experience in: C/C++
Embedded graphics
LVGL, U8g2, TFT_eSPI, Adafruit GFX or similar
OLED, TFT or e-paper displays
ESP32, STM32 or similar MCUs Side projects are absolutely welcome—we care more about what you've built than where you've worked. Contract: ~10–15 hrs/week for approximately 6–8 weeks, with the possibility of ongoing collaboration. Apply here: https://lopaka.app/careers
